Seasons 1-6 are a good 80-90, everything after is 0-10.

My appreciation and love of the unassuming and smart sitcom that this was in its first six seasons outweighs the mess it has gone on to become. Grant/Naylor's work together was harmonious, but when Naylor left only a few episodes from Series 7 (still with the departed Naylor's influence clear to see) can be pointed to as being of any quality. Everything post mid-season 7 should be completely ignored.

Hurt by inconsistent quality, but it was original and silly and fun.

good series

Best early on, especially if like me, despite being a yank (did a little growing up some years over seas) you kind of grew up on it. But i still found enjoyment in the later material as well. Dave lister is extremely relatable even if a bit derogatory (but for laughs) if you are the dirty working class type. Too few endearing characters like that not played as COMPLETE bafoons.

Never made me laugh.

Original and exciting back in the day, vast differences in quality between seasons and I didn't like the revival stuff.
