Sally Jessy Raphael

Unpalatable mix of shameless sensationalism and equally shameless moralism. I clearly recall one guest, a beautiful, lovely teenage girl, with a wealthy, neglectful and self-absorbed mother. The girl's crime was to spend time with people (men, of course) older than herself, for which she was reduced to tears of frustration as she was relentlessly harangued for her bad behaviour (which was non-existent), filling me with a strong urge to rescue this victim. I sometimes wonder what became of her.

It's like Oprah without the budget and faux semblance of class. This woman is clearly an alien sent to gather stupid subjects to study.
