Sufficiently creepy for diehard genre fans, decent acting and film making, and some real highlights throughout the series. But it is padded with repetitive themes, story-lines, conversations. It seems like this could have been shortened to 6 episodes a season and been fine.

I think the idea is really interesting to watch, and the characters are really well done. There's some good suspense. I don't think everything resolves as well as it could, but ultimately I did enjoy both seasons so far.

I don't really know how the 5 hour run time was justified? This could have easily been condensed into a 1,5-2 hr film without the story or atmosphere suffering. I felt there was lot of thematic repetition and it got very boring halfway into the series. The second to last episode picks up the story somewhat, but by that point I had already gone and spoiled the ending for myself because the story had been progressing nowhere fast. Nell Tiger Free was fantastic though!
