Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf

It's the equivalent of a bad Tom and Jerry cartoon but with the main characters replaced by dumb CGI bullshit. ...You know, sometimes I feel that all those hours spent on shitty monster movies could've been used to master a useful skill instead. But with my luck I probably would've ended up in digital design, creating dumb CGI bullshit for cheap monster movies, so I guess it evens out.

In the vein of old school B-movie drive-in schlock or straight-to-video sequels, now a days the cheap genre cash-ins often come in the form of made for "SyFy" channel TV movies. The third "film" in the "SyFy" channel original series, "Sharktopus" is as bad as one might imagine. The horribly cheap CGI, mixed with a lazy script, and attempted winks at the camera made for a cynically bad try at a campy monster movie. Not even worth pausing on while channel surfing...people still channel surf right?

Now that's what I'm here for. The CGI is still terrible but at least the two creatures do dumb shit and everyone involved clearly is insane. Casper van Dien is a ton of fun to watch and elevates the Sharktopus franchise to the hights it was destined to be.
