Sometimes They Come Back

I believe Archimedes once said, if you use shit to make a pie, the pie will taste like shit. If you didn't like the demon cars from all of Stephen King's other movies, chances are you won't be to keen on the one here.

I was surprised that a tv movie of King's work is better than most King movie adaptations, but I shouldn't have been. There've been so many bad ones that the bar for films must've been low. But having King on tv is a bigger deal & they don't have an R-rating to use gore/sex as a crutch. But the idea itself is great: bullies are very relatable & the mystery of their origin is interesting. The answers are underwhelming & Matheson doesn't play despair/dread as good as he should, but it's decent.

One of the worst King adaptations out there, and one of the few to have multiple sequels. It's not even a very inventive story to begin with, but luckily no meteorites or aliens--I still don't understand why he feels the need to explain every other story with those.

Usual Stephen King tv schlock with some interesting ideas.Maybe that's why they made 2 sequels. Only for the fans.

Okay TV adaptation of a King story. Watchable, but the ever-sexy Adams is wasted as Tim's wife. This was co-producer Milton Subotsky's last film.

It's got solid bones with the Stephen King story and some pretty good scenes. I always like/dread the kind of stories where the main character might just be going crazy and nobody believes them. There's a lot of nightmarish frustration in those kind of stories. It feels a bit lukewarm as a TV adaption, though. I think it started out stronger than it ended up being and the ending was far too mushy for its own good. Really love Willian Sanderson in just about anything, really, though.

I don't like horror and this was cheesy, trashy horror.

Better than a lot of the more recent Stephen King made-for-TV movies, but still nothing to write home about.
