The black sheep of the Star Trek family. Similar to how the TOS was a commentary on Vietnam & the Cold War, Enterprise is a commentary on 9/11, the subsequent rise of Islamophobia in the US, and the invasion of Afghanistan. As a historical document, it's fascinating to watch. The show had a rough start, but I loved the direction it went in during its final season and Enterprise really deserved atleast one more season to finish its story.

The underrated star of Star Trek. The first season is a little muddled and feels almost ashamed the be Star Trek, but it finds it's feet well in Season 2 and the final seasons with the overarching Xindi plot are fantastic. The cast are solid and bar a few duds most episodes meet my Trekkie needs. Had a least two more seasons in it when it was cancelled.

TOS asked for liberalism during the tumult of the 1960s. TNG straddled the fence of liberalism while produced under political conservatism. Enterprise didn't ask, it demanded liberalism and wanted to waterboard Bush and crew. I can forgive a few lines or an episode, but it felt like every week was writing its own newspaper opinion article. And these characters are dull...duuullllll. There's no spark. After 10 movies and 5 series, Star Trek had long worn out its welcome with nothing new to say.

The show got better in the last two seasons. First two have growing pains and some episodes with terrible ethics. The very last episode is one of the worst finales in all of Trek. I blame writers more than actors, because I know Scott Bakula can play a sci-fi boyscout from Quantum Leap. Worth watching if you like Trek and are avoiding the newer shows that spit in the face of it.

Most boring of the series (not necessarily a negative) with the worst cast, captain, & finale. The few episodes that take advantage of its prequel nature (S1) + the timely social commentary that Star Trek is known for (S3) raises it to around average. Only the most devout of acolytes need apply and be warned that the second half of the 1st season into the first half of the 2nd season is the absolutely worst stretch of Berman era Star Trek..

You have to grow into it, the first few episodes are odd but once it finds its groove it's a great addition to the star trek universe.

Preety slow and too often puts the plot-armored main crew in a battle scene. Of course I don't care about those 'dramatic moments' cause they can't die.

Well I agree that this, quality wise, is not on the level of TNG or DS9, but still Enterprise grew on me and I liked to watch it a lot. It surelly had bit shaky and slow start in season 1, but season 2 was very good and the Xindi season was brilliant, with great twist at the end. My favourite episode is the one from the ending of the 3rd season, "Zero Hour".

I can't give it really high scores as it's quality was highly erratic. I will say, it was refreshingly darker than most of its counterparts and the cast was enjoyable enough. I did actually kind of enjoy it towards the end. It was better than Voyager or Deep Space Nine.
