This show fills me with nostalgia to this day. I love its Weird West interpretation and characterization. Every character has a distinctive personality that follows them like an aura. The show slowed to a crawl after the end of the John Bly arc, and it irritates me to this day that we never meet all of Bly's gang. But in terms of spectacle, action, humor, and maximizing Bruce Campbell's preternatural charisma, this show did things I've yet to see beaten.

Silly and cool with Campbell in his prime. It wasn't going to win any awards but for a decent option for something different, this was aces.

If chins could kill, I'd marry Bruce Campbell.

Just to be clear this is my first time viewing this series so I'm not clouded by nostalgia. The series failed to live up to its hype, star's charisma, or premise. I mostly found this to be slow, dull and stupid. My wife loved it though!

Back in the 90s I liked watching it on TV and watched it again in 2024 as a complete rewatch. Unfortunately I have to say, as charming as the idea is and as charismatic as Bruce Campbell is, it doesn't help to get over the fact that at least 2/3 of the episodes are totally boring, which unfortunately don't make use of the unique twist that the show could offer. Just like the rest of the cast, it's not convincing in my opinion, except for Kelly Rutherford as Dixie and Comet ;O
