Made it about halfway through the season and it just does not come together. Tons of unlikable characters by mostly less than capable actors. It's a shame because it's one of my favorite King stories and the movie adaptation was decent.

If they had stuck to the original survival/horror/mystery format it would have been great. Not surprised it was canceled.

Apart from everything, I thought this was OK.

I thought this was another case of me being an idiot and watching something with the same title as something I wanted to watch, turns out I'm an idiot for sticking with this for 20 minutes

The story is quite simple for this one: a dense mist captivates a town. Those who enter it die. Unfortunately this show didn't get that particular memo about the story. What is supposed to be a horror-story becomes a drama about possible rape and a bisexual kid who is going mental. The show seems to think the human interaction (anarchy and the likes) is more important than the actual mist and thus fails to scare at any level. The only scary thing about the whole series is the horrible acting.

I didn't continue after the first episode. The production quality was so low that it felt like an insult. The photography looked almost like 90's TV. Neither a distinct visual style nor a memorable editing that captivates the viewer. The scenes have just been lined up one after the other, too quickly, as if the editor was rushing to finish his job. Most importantly, there wasn't a single moment when I felt scared, so there was no reason I should continue watching this --horror-- series.

Rating based on the first episode. I won't be watching the rest.

Starts terrible, then gets below average and the last four episodes are good. Unfortunately Frances Conroy is the only one that knows how to act.
