Ultra-schlocky sequel is derisively amusing for a while, as Battaglia in a Neanderthal-ish way attempts to humanise himself, while Busey huffs and puffs back on the ranch (in fact Busey is the only cast member who delivers anything approaching an interesting performance). US II is a little better than most action movies, but not as good as the first. Fun bit of trivia: Gordon Lightfoot's guitarist, Red Shea, had a son, Scott Shae, who was part of a duo that wrote one song for this movie; I loved that song and it's not available anywhere.

Jesus lord christ, why is this so bad? Not the so bad it's good kind just bad bad. Can anybody act? Why are they all so stupid? what's with the random music choice? Why was this allowed to be?

Pretty objectionable overall but at least it's stylistically coherent. Let's take the soundtrack as an example. It's really bad, and yet is well incorporated and seamless in the film. There's just something about these films, and I never expected to spend more time here than, say, with Hellraiser.

This movie is such a step down from its predecessor, it made me appreciate Roland Emmerich, who directed the original. The female lead gets rapey when she insists on kissing Luc even though he explicitly indicates he doesn't understand what's going on.

Really Not interested.

Film starts with a cheap softcoreish re-enactment of the first film's ending. How could I not love it?

So much worse than the first one, that it's actually almost equally entertaining. Watchable for the camp value.
