Though I hear it's not as historically accurate as it'd seem to viewers not well versed in this period (like me), it's still a fascinating show. Thanks to the incredible costumes, set design and lighting it has an air of authenticity that is not often seen on television. And while the whole cast is great, you really can't praise Rylance enough. Understated and graceful, I could watch him for days. I really wish to see how this story continues, hope they make more.

It's so incredibly underplayed that it demands the viewer to have a deep understanding on the politics that went on during Thomas Cromwell's time to really appreciate it. For this format takes too long to develop a overview of the royal situation and it still doesn't bubble up the excitement I had hoped for. But in it's way it grows in a slow pace with the cold Mark Rylance as the undeniable presence.

A brilliant rendering of Hilary Mantel's brilliant novels. Mark f-ing Rylance man. He is in pretty much every scene and absolutely smashes it.

I didn't finish this. It just didn't do much for me. Maybe it would have picked up but I wasn't interested. I've seen this historical period depicted so many times already.

Real-world Game of Thrones where all that matters is the King's sperm.
