Iris herself is a ball, she's dryly humorous and entirely without judgment or criticism, she just wants people to use fashion to express themselves -- plus her 66+ year marriage with her husband is endearing to watch. But this documentary is badly handled, as it meanders so often and ends up going nowhere and saying almost nothing. It's more or less an 80 minute featurette of the main womayne -- I'm not complaining too much.

A measure of a great documentary is how much you come to care about subjects that don't on the face of it interest you at all. I don't really have any interest in the fashion world, but I found this documentary to be riveting.

I have trouble ranking these sorts of talking-head biographical documentaries, because unless it does something really unique, it's hard for them to stand out. And this one... doesn't. Ms. Apfel is interesting enough to keep you engaged for 90 minutes, but not overly so. and the film making itself is quite bland and uninteresting.

It's very watchable and light-hearted. Enjoyable but nothing mindblowing or revolutionary.

I don't know anything about fashion, and I had never heard of Iris Apfel before, but this was awesome.

Affectionate portrait of an interesting and inspiring woman, A little shallow but enjoyable.
