This started out to be really bizarre. But when it returned for season 2, it was radically revised and has turned out to be pretty riveting. But it does take a while to get into it.

The Orville (2017) - Rated 26 Aug 2024

This actually captures a lot of the feeling of the original Star Trek ambiance. It started out a little slow, but as you became more familiar with the character's backgrounds it really became quite good. Kind of a victim of the Pandemic.

One of my favorites! Has very much the same feeling as the original Star Trek. Very character driven and adventurous. Love it.

Quirky plot about government secrets stored securely underground. A great cast and kind of a steam punk feel to it.

3 Body Problem (2024) - Rated 26 Aug 2024

I read the book when it first came out. Couldn't figure out how they could make a movie out of it. But it is really quite good, even if they did kill off one of my favorite characters. Can't wait to watch the sequel, but I think it's going to be quite a while.

Agent Carter (2015) - Rated 26 Aug 2024

This was a great program, with excellent casting and good action. Don't know why they cancelled it. Probably just didn't promote it enough, and stuck it in a bad time slot.

Outlander (2014) - Rated 26 Aug 2024

Don't really think of this as a Sci-Fi series, but it is based on accidental time travel, so there's that. Read most of the books before the series came out. The series actually follows the books and gets the feeling of the books right. I think of this as more of a historical fiction series with fictional people stuck into historical times. Love it.
