Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

This is a series that came just a couple years too early. I can often see the conflict between the writers trying to make something interesting or challenging and the network backing them down into the same rote, predictable product. Every attempt from the early HYDRA reveal to criticizing the 2016 election in later seasons is inevitably tamed into boring nothingness. This doesn't mean there aren't some redeeming characteristics, it just means to expect the expected and nothing more.

Bennet is cute, but with so many great tv shows out there, I don't see myself watching a lot of seasons of this anytime soon. (3 episodes)

What started out as a guilty pleasure carried by small connections to the Marvel Cinematic universe has evolved throughout into being a really good show in the third season. (3 seasons)

The best of Agents of Shield stands with the best of the rest of the MCU. The worst... with the worst of the MCU. Leo Fitz might be my favorite Marvel character, and through seven seasons I feel like he had the absolute best character arc. Great plotlines, high stakes, hit or miss cast, special effects were solid, writing occasionally shines and occasionally disappoints... It's definitely worth watching and sticking with.

A mix of various Marvel concepts and other TV series. With a few references to other Marvel films released around the same time. The first season was particularly slow and tedious.

When the show is grounded and stays within itself, it's truly one of the best Marvel projects. The original cast gets developed so well throughout the seven seasons, and each character gets an arc that makes sense. Early on a lot of the storylines feel so connected and grounded, however, too often it overextends itself and has subplots that don't make sense for the array of characters that we have been presented as the show progresses.

First 4 seasons are great. Season 5 starts to loose ground and last 2 season they forgot what they were doing.

Thoroughly enjoyed every season of this well written SciFi series.

Great cast with good character development. Great under the radar defense of humanity drama.
