You know, a lot of people on a lot of websites I look at really seemed to not like this show (or think it started good but went downhill). I am not one of those people. This is by far my favorite new TV comedy, network or cable, of 2015. I had my head tilted back, ROARING with laughter, waking my girlfriend up, at some scenes in this show. Will Forte is SO good at playing this benignly psychotic, wheedling pathological liar, like a post-apocalyptic George Costanza.

The Last Man on Earth starts with a cool premise that shows its insubstantiality every time it introduces a new character. The worst part is that the show relishes in the lack of chemistry between the cast (who are, individually, not without talent). There are some funny moments, but they're not worth the 20 minutes per episode .

The first season had some great moments. Once Tandy became mellow, everything went downhill, and it became straight up lame once babies showed up. I kept watching hoping for a return to form, but nothing topped Todd's arrival / the sex fireworks, which is one of the funniest scene in TV history. I'm happy the show ended when it did and with the last scene it had, it gives it almost-closure. Will Forte is a really good actor btw, feels like he wasted some years in this.

Started off fairly strong but quickly evolved into a boring mess. Strangeness for the sake of itself does not make a weekly sitcom.

Not very funny but oddly endearing, enough so to keep me watching

Starts with huge potential, then keeps repeating the same storyline over and over, and the main character loses any endearing or interesting qualities that might otherwise hold the whole thing together.

Nice premise. Largely shoddy execution.

Hard to tell where this is gonna go from here, but the first season had more thematic and subtextual richness than any number of more acclaimed and "cinematic" cable shows (i'm looking at you, Girls) to the point where it practically feels tailor made for cultural studies students (or at the very least cultural studies-ish clickbait internet articles). Then again i might just have a thing for Kristen Schaal so who knows? (PS Forte/Schaal re-remake of The Heartbreak Kid, someone please make this)

Starts as a wholly unique and inspired premise, yet devolves into sitcom cliches faster than Will Forte becomes annoying, which is really fast. Didn't watch the last two episodes. If the next person to show up is a better writer, let me know.
