A rarity among sci-fi shows in that it deliberately takes a light and breezy attitude to a genre that is often all too serious. That's not to say the show has no emotional or intellectual depth. It does, but it never forgets its fundamentally silly premise nor misses an opportunity to poke fun at the genre's tropes. It's never going to hook you enough to binge-watch whole seasons but it's sharp and funny enough to keep you coming back for one more episode when you've nothing better to watch.

Quirky plot about government secrets stored securely underground. A great cast and kind of a steam punk feel to it.

I watched a few episodes of this based on a netflix recommendation in the disc days. I remember thinking it had an interesting enough idea, but it felt like it was going to be too procedural for me to care, so I gave up on it.

Season 1 of Warehouse 13 essentially positions itself as a light-hearted X-files knockoff, but as it grows its mythology and adds characters, it becomes a worthwhile show in its own right. The arcs in the 3rd and 4th season are really great. While the show never really escapes its cheesy origins, it does embrace them to be an entertaining show. The cast is likable have good chemistry. The finale is a touching goodbye, a gift not too many shows get to deliver.

Another one of those SyFy shows that is perfectly entertaining, but just feels slightly less than good.

Gave the first season go, but it was too cheap and tacky for me.
