Hayley Atwell is always great as Peggy Carter, and James D'Arcy is great as Jarvis as well. I also liked Dominic Cooper and Bridget Regan in their roles, as well as a few others. Unfortunately, I don't think the stories are quite as strong as the cast is, and that's likely what caused the drop in ratings.

Agent Carter has a good cast, with okay plot. The 1st season (set in New York) was good but indulged in the obvious double agent trope a tad too much. The 2nd season (set in Florida) is messier in tone and pacing, though it leans into a sci-fi concept more. Unfortunately the ending leaves a few plot-threads unresolved.

Não acredito que ABC cancelou. Best feminazi series EVER.

Atwell really shined in the first Captain America movie, so I see the appeal of doing this series. It is really decent with a slightly tongue-in-cheek approach, good acting, and a nice feel of post-WWII U.S. The plots are not that great though so after a while it becomes a watchable but not very engaging work. Atwell is still great and D'Arcy is a good sidekick, but it couldn't have gone beyond two seasons as it was.

Zero connection to MCU, fast forwarding to early shield/hydra could have saved this.

It gets REAAAAALLLLY bogged down in trying to make its sociopolitical point at times, but is overall an admirably spy-centric take on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I did find the season finale a little insular and talky though.

An stylish and delightful underdog in the MCU that truly delivers in what it promise. Hayley Atwell and James D'Arcy are truly the highlight of the show, from the quirky dialogue to the adventurous missions, the dinamic presented between those 2 is really enjoyable. The first season was well executed and truly a pleasure to watch unfold, but the second season was all over the place and finished with a really anticlimactic arc. That said, the story was left open with the possibility of a sequel.

S1: A flawed but compelling story about workplace sexism with fun characters and classy style. | S2: An absolute betrayal of everything set up in its first season, from dumbing down characters to its superficial storyline. Immensely disappointing follow-up.

Love the cast, hate the writing. It's themes are a confused nightmare. The writers introduce the TB epidemic at the beginning of the show, this would be fine but the action agent Carter takes at season one's finally becomes so much more selfish and stupid with TB as a part of the context. It was so ill conceived that I seriously wondered if the writers had forgotten they'd written that in. Not interested in anything more after that first season.

Needs some sharper writing but has enough talent to drag it through the slower bits. The next series needs more Dominic Cooper.
