36% Edge of Tomorrow (2014) - Rated 02 Jan 2015
"I liked this the first time I watched it. Watching it again showcased a strong beginning playing with the whole 'Groundhog Day' aspect of it but the movie quickly bloated itself out from that. Horrendous leaps in logic and a movie that doesn't quite know what it wants to be makes me not enjoy this one as much as I did the first time. I'd recommend it, but only once."
18% Dark Blue (2003) - Rated 15 Dec 2014
"Too often the movies we watch on the Golden Shakespeare lately end up the same: really solid performances in an otherwise lacklustre film. Kurt Russell brings out a really great performance in this, but the direction wasn't enough to give me anything and I just didn't care about what was happening until everything was already over."
36% Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007) - Rated 15 Dec 2014
"This is a great movie to watch with some friends and laugh at all the jokes hitting at an alarmingly welcome pace. The movie has some pacing issues that stop it from being truly good."
36% Bug (2007) - Rated 15 Dec 2014
"Michael Shannon is the shining star in this film and Ashley Judd is no slouch either. The film doesn't bring enough to the table for me to really marvel at it all. For once, I can say with confidence, that I'd much rather see this one on stage."
80% Nightcrawler (2014) - Rated 01 Dec 2014
"I don't want to say too much about this one, but it reminded me a lot of Taxi Driver with the audience following a character until they turn on you. I hope I'm right and this one stands the test of time. I feel like it will for me."
58% Flight (2012) - Rated 01 Dec 2014
"Denzel Washington is a great actor. He's not on a lot of people's best of lists, but he should be. Robert Zemeckis' direction is really sharp in this one. The crash landing sequence is great, but the really strength is journey of Washington's character."
58% A Beautiful Mind (2001) - Rated 01 Dec 2014
"Patrick accidentally spoiled this movie for me right when we started watching it. I hold no ill will for this, I still had a good time with this movie. Crowe and Connelly are really great in it. Check it out!"
58% Maria Full of Grace (2004) - Rated 01 Dec 2014
"This is a cold film that really doesn't offer much sympathy to its audience. You're along for the ride and you better get ready to suck it up. Amazing performances and a gut twisting air plane segment make this one worthy of your time."
58% Children of Men (2006) - Rated 01 Dec 2014
"After disliking this movie for the longest time I gave it a fair shake with open eyes and found myself seeing strength in it. Beyond the obvious compliments to the cinematography, I want to bring the impressive atmosphere this movie makes for its audience. The world is strangely off, but you can't tell that until you're too far deep into the rabbit hole. Check it out, I can finally recommend this one."
58% The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) - Rated 01 Dec 2014
"The editing is uniquely visceral in the fact that you feel like this is the harshest and goriest movie ever but there's little to no gore shown. You want to be a fan of horror movies? This is the perfect one to start with."
