"Every Israeli seems to love this movie, it has catchy phrases and cult characters. I don't really remember all of it but it seems like a less loveable Eskimo limon with Yosef Shiloakh to me, and I didn't like Eskimo limon."

"This movie had every possible ingrediant to become a horror film, it even had Vincent Price. Instead we get a memorable and original fairy tale about suburbia, Bravo, young Burton. This was also the movie in which I got to listen to Danny Elfman for the first time, and he is responsible for at least 40% of how intense and emotional this movie is."

"What an incredible trip, I'm surprised the suicide rates didn't jump after this movie came out, showing such an incredble, quirky and imaginative afterlife. This is also my second appreciation of Elfman's memorable scores. he was simply born for such movies."
