"Ugh, this was interesting in the 2nd quarter, but the other 3 quarters were dull. 1st was Vin Diesel and his CGI friends...not interesting or suspenseful, you KNOW he has to get out of there eventually. Just took 30 minutes of waiting...and I thought the ending action scenes were really dark and difficult to watch. Dark as in LITERALLY dark. Disappointing..."

"Pretty good tale, I'm still a little concerned over having apes as major characters. Just easier to 'dig' humans. Obviously it's impossible to avoid that problem in an ape based film, just sayin' why I didn't go higher..."

"Action was as expected - pretty good, but I found the story and characters very bland. Eva Green's Artemesia being the exception. But on the Greek side I had switched off before halfway, just cutout characters with a bit of forced sentimentality thrown in at the right points. Sullivan Stapleton really didn't have a lot to work with, but I don't think he was real good either. OK I guess, but nothing more. Shame I couldn't get into it, I walked in wanting to like it."
