Really dumb and really fun. I'm not saying this show gave young me a muscle fetish, but it did nothing to prevent it.

Super cheesy fun. There is nothing truly notable in the production or setup, but the competition aspect mixed with the 80's production and 90s outfits and hair make it something sometimes magical.

Such an amazingly fun show. Not only were the games themselves cool, but the competitors had some good personalities among them. And it was so goddamn 80s, even though it was technically 90s.

I used to like this show as a kid as they ran the obstacle courses with challenges that had to beat.

Would have been so much better with real weapons. I mean, you can't rip off "The Running Man" and only go halfway!

If the post apocalyptic future of Escape From New York had actually happened it probably could have been blamed on American Gladiators

One of my favorite game shows, the athleticism and competitive nature of the show is great. Some events were more entertaining to watch than others, but all of them tested the physical capabilities of each competitor greatly and all of them had a degree of strategy as well.
