Hard to rate. It indeed looked promising with its unique atmosphere and interesting characters and scenography. After watching four episodes, the characters interest me less and less, so I finally dropped the idea that it might just need some time. The probable score was 80, and it feels wrong to go beneath, but I cannot give a high rating to a show that I am too bored to keep on following.

The only slow-burning surreal mystery/mythology show ever conceived with a grand vision & explanations from the start instead of just making shit up as it goes along (ala LOST, BSG, GoT, etc), so of course it gets cancelled after the 2nd season.

devam etseydi ne kadar özel bir iş olurdu bilemiyorum, ama ezoterikliği kendisine zarar verdiği kadar değer katan bir garip diziydi.

This is my fiancée's absolute #1 uncontested favorite TV show of all time. I think she's watched its two-season run like a dozen times. I was more in the camp of "That's neat... and weird... and kinda inaccessible." But it still has a certain ethereal Twin Peaks-y charm to it, and good performances, especially Clancy Brown as Brother Justin.

Another HBO series prematurely ended, this one was more understandable as it did not have any star power or accolades. It was however amazing at times in its creepiness and atmosphere.

Incomplete. Hard to tell where it would have gone.

First series was a wonderful mix of mystery, romance, religion, sexual tension and fantasy, second was unrelentingly grim, quite a difficult watch. Whole thing's unresolved -there was talk of a book or comic or something- but if you can live with that I'd recommend season one at least.
