It was nice seeing Dexter again, Michael C. Hall interpretation is just so enjoyable. Every scene with him and Jennifer Carpenter is great. Harrison and the season antagonist were pretty good additions too. However, this reboot was also filled with uninteresting and annoying characters, lazy and heavy handed writing, dumb conveniences and plot holes. This combined with the somewhat stupid ending makes the whole thing quite disappointing.

Like Father Like Son story has been told enough and needs to be put into bed. The Ghost of Deb, again, a tired prop and did not work at all. It started stuttering pretty badly, but then gets its act together by developing actual tension lines and an out-of-shape Serial killer making reasonable mistakes. In the end, they wrap it up well, it is not a bad tribute piece, but I still believe that finishing the whole Dexter franchise at that wonderful ending of Season 3 would keep it as a TV legend.

Didn't see that coming. Infinitely better than the unwatchable final four seasons, and probably the third or fourth best season overall. Not not-a-fan of the ending, though I would've liked a longer season or even a second one before taking things in the chaotic direction the latter parts of New Blood went for. For a natural and understandable conclusion, they sure made it look like a last-minute decision.

I mean, if you really like Dexter as a character, this still feels like him. Nostalgia will win bonus points but its too early to tell if this will really pan out.

A passionate revival that brings a beloved IP back to its origins. Much like the original run it can be hokey, but it is gripping. Perhaps a touch darkers than the original series in both tone and atmosphere.

One Bonus Point for using Idles for the Soundtrack, the rest was trash

People disappointed by the ending.. this show was all about making things right, confronting the original show's short comings and giving it a better ending. I'm not sure it's supposed to happen the way it did but "better ending" still holds up I think. Other than that, it's solid. Sequels usually feel like they're made to make easy money but the mini-series format and the show's quality, it didn't feel like that. This is a successful sequel.

It’s great that the original show runner was able to come back and redeem a show that ended on its worst season. Well paced, enjoyable new location, and great new characters, with Logan being my personal favorite. Although season 8 is still canon, this new series does a great job of fixing things and bringing closure. The ending isn’t actually as surprising as it was marketed, but I disagree with those saying the ending is worse. It does have problems, but it at least gave decent closure.

Didn't quite do it for me unfortunately. Didn't get through the first series either though so take it with a grain of salt. Wasn't super satisfied with the ending either.

Some great ideas, but not enough to resurrect Dex.

Too attached to Dexter to make any sense of the rating.

Rating for episodes 1-3. I do not intend to watch any further.
