An excellent show that met with a lot of unfortunate knee-jerk reactions because it landed at a time when everyone is fed up with “strong female lead” trope. However, Dune: Prophecy is not it. The sisterhood is correctly portrayed as the power behind the throne in this universe. The scheming and plotting, the drama, it's all classical in nature. Acting, production, design, all top-notch. This is season one. I hope it continues to be as strong all the way to the end.

Honesty really beautifully crafted and performed. It’s taut, intriguing and pitches itself nicely to reflect the ethos of both Herbert’s and Villeneuve work. It’s really high quality TV.

An excellent series that captures the themes and spirit of the world of Dune very well. Well produced, written, directed and acted all around. Looking forward to seeing more!

Mundillo interesante, buenas actrices (casi todo mujeres). Fundamentalmente trama política con muy poquita acción. Apetecible para una segunda temporada.

It is an intelligently crafted series filled with political intrigue, trade deals and power struggles with the looming threat of AI. Sharp dialogues build tension and the nonlinear narrative enriches the story. The excellent music and acolytes' visions add mysticism. Travis Fimmel and Jessica Barden shine though not all actors meet expectations. Outstanding set design and CGI support the plot while the AI theme encourages reflection.

An incoherent mess, I'm afraid. The cast are generally excellent, but the story goes nowhere. Flashbacks within flashbacks, in a prequel. Nothing has changed in the universe in 10,000 years.

Good show, gave some backstory for Dune and how everything was put in place. Ending wasn't my favorite, but otherwise enjoyed.

Started decent, end up checking off all the marks of a poorly produced TV series. P.S. Lowered the score even further after watching the season finale. Such a waste..

It’s a very handsomely mounted production by TV standards, with sets / effects / cinematography etc instantly putting it in the upper tier of TV series in that department. It’s also a ponderous, talky, exposition-mired bore that had me checking the clock (aka the microwave I can see from my couch) like four times in one hour and fighting the urge to grab my phone or fiddle with something.
