Loses the campy joy of the original; by being just a little bit "better," it slips into the chasm of mediocrity and becomes so much less entertaining. A shame.

D&D 2 is a porn parody without the sex. It's a movie that's so bad that it's bad. It's a big budget fan film. It's 104 minutes of embarassment for everyone involved. And it's sorely lacking Jeremy Irons hamming it up to 11. You might get some laughs at the bad *everything* from the CGI to the sets to the dialogue, but ultimately you're just going to end up dreadfully bored.

Also really lousy, but at least this time you can tell that the writers had heard of D&D before.

Certainly not as blatantly weird and inept as the first one, but also nowhere near as fun. It's basically like... Scratch that, it IS watching amateurs LARP for 100 minutes. And not even enjoying it.

This is the film that the players waited for ! The story of a band of adventurers of hight level saving the world. there is no more but it is joyfull to watch !

This film succeeds in one area. It manages to be better than the first Dungeons & Dragons film by a small margin. And I mean a small margin, as make no mistake, this is a horrible movie.

Worlds better than the abysmal first movie, this one, while having that direct-to-video sensibility, felt much more like a D&D game put on film.

Give some LARPers a bag of cash and then follow them about with a camera for a few days. A substantial improvement on the original.
