Clearly exists because of the success of Black Mirror, and takes a fair amount of visual cues from Blade Runner throughout. Electric Dreams is an awkward marriage of PKD's fiction and the requisite amount of human pathos for television, halfway getting there. The stronger episodes are Human Is & The Commuter, the weaker The Impossible Planet & (disappointingly with Buscemi in it) Crazy Diamond.

Ripoff of Black mirror and fails to get even close to BM in every aspect. Barely watchable

The cinematic adaptations on PKD's work are a mixed bag, and this TV anthology is no different. PKD's stories don't immediately lend themselves to visual medium, relying more on pathos, emotions and the subtle obfuscation that comes from his unique writing style (and possibly drug use). Each episode sports an impressive cast, a great idea, and a coin-flip on its execution. It's both hard to recommend and yet worth a watch.

I love the idea of this series but it just falls flat on it's face. I gave up halfway through on the first two episodes - bad acting, woeful scripts. A real shame

A show supposedly "based on" PKD's stories, with such major changes some episodes have barely anything to do with the original. And as is in fashion, the process of "modernizing" these stories included turning them into mouthpieces for the common political ideologies of the average hollywood writer.

Tough to watch, the series as a whole felt held up by a few good episodes and let down by the rest where the stories felt somehow squashed and misshapen into a desired visual format and style with the point of the story being lost or not translatable into screen.
