It has everything I love; Sex, drugs, violence, psychopaths, lesbians, glitter, and manages to also be beautiful and interesting. It combines realism and fantasy so perfectly. God, I love it.

Initial thoughts 4 episodes in, is its stylish and harsh and has a lot of penis. That being said, its definitely not boring, I just worry the long term longevity of constant degeneracy will wear thin pretty quickly.

Ahhh, to be young and already broken inside... Euphoria is so visually pleasing and stylish and all of the characters are wonderfully realized. Jules is a freaking vision, I think I fell in love with her. "The Trials and Tribulations of Trying to Pee While Depressed" has to be the best title of a TV episode ever, and said depicted trials were so relatable, depression-wise. Each episode focuses on a character - it's been done before, but it's really well done here and empathy inducing.

Wonderfully shot, but it's just not my cup of tea. A very thin story line with some cliché twists.

s1: 85 Guilty pleasure ultra. A hyper-realized highschool drama that is absolute eye candy. I'm into this. s2: 55 A complete and utter fumble

Works better as lurid soap opera than meaningful social commentary, and its tendency to fly schizophrenically from character to character is frustrating at times; as it beds in and settles down, it does become more compelling, especially when exploiting Zendaya's quite wonderful performance, a mix of droll self-mockery and genuinely heart-breaking tragedy (her stand-alone solo episode is a brilliant highlight). If its grasp finally defeats its reach, its still a worthy experience.

Very, very dark. Reminds me of Divines (2016).

There are some interesting ideas here that are undercut by the showrunner's incessant desire to "shock and awe the normies." I mean how often must we get a rehash of the Decadent Movement, with a fresh coat of paint (now a Zoomer hue)? Yeah, I guess it's cool that it penetrated popular consciousness, but considering HBO's steady procession into taboo topics, this just seems like a natural consequence of plenty of other attempts "epater la bourgeoisie."

I feel like I would have loved this at 16, or even enjoyed it at 23, but I'm 29 and this feels indulgent and kind of creepy. I don't think it's really okay for adults to be invited to be so involved in the sex and personal lives of highschoolers, even in a very entertaining and intelligent way.

I was not able to finish the first episode. So cliche, poor characters, stupid dialogues. Drugs blacks transgenders sex without any reason or reflection. Not my kind of movie.

Basically a teen soap with the sex/nudity/language/drug use all cranked up to NC-17 levels and a trippy kinda vaporwave visual and tonal aesthetic - pretty amusing.

Just watched "rue" and upped my score by 5 points. Whatever the general character arcs are, Zendaya breathes this life.

very zeitgeisty like a Veronica Mars for 2019, but very relationship-focused without enough story and dramatic twists for me, and perhaps too many characters, some of whom don't feel quite fleshed-out

Can't recommend this enough. A beautifully stylistic depiction of the highs and lows of high school life. Well-written with multidimensional characters. Arguably the best cinematography in all of television. Zendaya brings an unexpectedly passionate and heartfelt performance to the character of Rue. The cold opens at the beginning of each episode bring the characters to new levels. With each episode, characters that were mostly in the background simply get more and more interesting. LOW 8

I liked this series almost as much as I hate drug addicts. All of the episodes were excellent except for s02e05 which just pissed me off with its portrayal of the worst and most annoying aspects of addiction. They don't pull many punches with this series. Acting is exceptional and characters are well developed. Highly recommended, but not so much if you have an addict in your life.

Beautifully directed and shot with excellent performances across the board,Euphoria delivers well its emotional punches and at the same time its atmosphere and vibe keeps its hook on you until the end.It certainly can feel a bit unrealistic and over the top at times as well as rushed at others but the emotional core and the strong(but frustrating)characters keep you always entertained and interested on where the story is going to go next.

By the fourth episode, there was so much tension, I stopped watching to ask people what was going to happen because I got so worried. There are many relatable and likeable characters. My biggest criticism: editing could be snappier. Overall, Euphoria captures the travails of youth really well, without being condescending or pandering. Update: the second season lost momentum and focus, on account of the production having to work around an actor who refused to shoot her storyline for the season.

Great character development, fun eye-candy but also well-written plot and dialogues. Much more than your typical high-school drama.

Approaching the end of the first season, I realize this might be my favourite current TV drama. It's so well-made and so hardcore and the acting is so good that everything feels authentic,

Visually well constructed, but that's the only redeeming quality. There's way too much gratuitous pornography, and when that involves "high schoolers" it's just creepy. It tries to be edgy for the sake of being edgy, but fails and is terribly cliche and normie. The dialog is so horribly void of creativity and intellect that it's a painfully mind numbing chore to sit through.
