Decent juvenile anthology horror fiction. Light and easy to watch, with some good episodes here and there.

Classic.

I enjoyed the books as kid, but remember thinking the show was awful.

"Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Was better.

I thoroughly enjoyed R.L. Stine's books around third grade. However, watching this show at a friend's house was one of my first real encounters with (though I didn't necessarily have the film vocabulary to phrase it this way in my mind at the time) something being REEAALLLY cheap looking and having insanely poor production values. Insulting; kids deserve better.

I was too old for this but I can see the appeal for young kids who have no alternative to anything remotely scary.

I think the funniest thing about this show is that the theme song is scarier than anything that happens in the series.
