The most overlooked show of its generation. Olyphant is once again in a show that wasn't as loved as it should've been when it was on the air but will garnish a cult following after its gone. The villains are interesting and well thought out, the dynamics between the characters are deep, layered and meaningful. And when the show is this good you worry the ending is gonna suck but they nailed it. "We dug coal together." I'll never forget that line. Perfect ending

Possibly one of the most quotable shows in recent memory, very much in thanks to Elmore Leonard's DNA being embedded into the writing care of Graham Yost and crew, and realized by Tim Olyphant, Walton Goggins, a stellar supporting cast and guests. The show meandered a bit too much in later seasons, yet still exuded the charm and coolness that makes Justified such a pleasure to watch.

it's rough around the edges, a little uneven no doubt, but i love this show with all my heart. id wish there were 100 seasons, except they ended it so beautifully i couldn't bear if they revived it now.

It did not jump off to me as something I would like, but once I start watching it, the dynamics between the characters is engorging. I watched 4 seasons and they kept it up quite well. All these layers of ire, hate, love, and nuisances. Goggins is a special talent and his lines are joyfully written. Coming up with all these from a short story is quite a feat too. Both this one and Peaky Blinders show that explosive experts make explosive characters. And Arno makes you appreciate your own father.

Rolled into this one straight after Deadwood, which was fan-tas-tic; almost felt like a time jump seeing Olyphant turning from sherrif into marshal. Loved the dry humor (making for fantastic quotes) and the redneck fun, but the characters were well-layered and kept interesting, the atmosphere made watching it a true delight. Eventually I did get the "we are going nowhere with this" vibe and I thought the last episode was soapy as hell, but overall it's a gem.

I may have to re-watch this, because other than having two compelling leads in Olyphant and Goggins, I found this to be a bit boring. Edit - upped the score as the show really grows on once you realize it's a showcase for Olyphant just being cool. Having read the first two Raylan books, its pretty damn good casting.

Goggins makes it for me. Overall plot drags and is sketchy. Background and long term relation of characters in the townscape is well thought.

I'm gonna be honest: I found it kind of overrated by the end. The cyclical rise of a new villain-of-the-season got silly for me at a certain point, and those villains just got worse. The vault break-in subplot in season 6 was not interesting to me. But, that said, Walton Goggins was just gripping and terrific through the whole show, it had a nice atmosphere to it, and the series peak (season 2, dealing with Mags Bennett) was some kick-ass television; watched the whole season in two sittings.

The show is very dark from the first episode. "I was justified." Ladies and gents, your protagonist likes to kill.
