Watched the first episode of this pos to confirm that the Sonic cinematic universe remains the biggest pile of crap.

This show is about 80% Wade Whipple and about 20% Knuckles. Which, I understand from a VFX perspective, but at that point, why make the show? The first episode was cool with Sonic, Knuckles, and Tika Sumpter returning though.

Bro fr I’ve said this several times lately but why is this a series and not a TV movie? Its three hour runtime is bloated and distended with so many boring side quests with Adam Pally’s character that have nothing to do with Knuckles or Sonic lore. Now if they were to cut this down to the 90 minutes or so that actually feature, you know, THE TITLE CHARACTER, then it still wouldn’t be great but lord would it be way, way better than this.

This was Whipple, not Knuckles. But it was fine enough, because Adam Pally makes as effort into making this corny story work, while the red creature makes brief cameos to give the illusion that this is supposed to be a part in the Sonic universe when it feels like something else.

I mean it’s fine, if you’re willing to accept its very obvious limitations. My kids really enjoyed it so job done really.

I dozed off for a minute and suddenly the show is about jewish traditions, a passover dinner, and a dude's bowling tournament. I thought I was watching a mini-series about Knuckles the Echidna. That's on me.
