I read on Kotaku that it's better than Civ V with the Brave New World expansion pack.

A comfort show of mine. A classic for the true crime girlies. All characters are compelling and have developed back stories, and I love how the show doesn’t shy away from the effects their line of work has on their psychological state and personal relationships. I don’t recommend past season 10, drop in quality.

Excellent show. It's a procedural cop show, so obviously it has it's tropes and repetition, but I love it. Good background noise, if that's what you're looking for. Bonus points for Rafael Barba.

Mariska Hargitay is my favorite lady

I watch it whenever I found it on TV at my grandma’s house. It is really addictive, but yeah, no masterpice here, it is clearly made to see at 3 am while eating leftover pancakes that your grandma made

I suppose I should rate this, since it's always on TV at work. Some of the episodes do maintain a decent level of interest, but it's more likely than not to be unsubtle and forced. The times the writers/directors try to spice things up with gimmicks it can be pretty painful too. Still, makes good background noise.

Can't believe this shit's been on for almost twenty years.

Honestly the show has become much more refreshing since the exit of Christopher Meloni, there have been fresh faces brought in and more engaging story lines created characters that have been major players since the beginning. The most notable of these newer introductions is ADA Rafael Barba played by Raul Esparza, he is quick witted and offers some interesting opinions on cases that are ripped straight from the headlines.
