Limitless

The best show on TV in a long time. Light hearted yet serious, with very endearing characters. Sure, it has a lot of dumb moments, but overall I enjoyed all of Limitless. The fact that it will not get a second season is a major shame. I will truly miss this show.

My personal distate. I don't really like TV series that has no apparent bigger story arch. It's boring for me to see each episode with new unrelated cases. My problem with most of recent crime tv series. (Exception: The X Files! That series means something and thought provoking, not just crime-action. Also Archer and Black Mirror. Maybe all they need is a very original characters or big important theme if they are to make it in this style.)

Good start to season 1. Would loke to see more was a good transition from movie to show.

I only ended up watching a couple episodes. I mostly enjoyed the original movie, but even that wasn't anything super special for me, so I wasn't expecting too much out of this series, and I got just that. Perhaps if the show was more tightly connected to the movie I would have been drawn in more.

Limitless continues the world started by the 2011 film of the same name, including cameos from Cooper. Although the show takes a few episodes to find its footing, it actually turns out better than the original film by embracing its silliness with clever writing, and having plenty of compelling character moments. McDorman & Carpenter made a great duo, and the show wasn't afraid to dip a toe in the experimental. A light-hearted procedural that sadly didn't make it past its 1st (and only) season.

The NZT sequences, where the main dude takes the pill and gets a temporary IQ of 5000, are actually pretty clever and amusing. It's fun to live vicariously through watching him accomplish major life tasks in minutes/hours. Sadly, outside of those fun sequences, the show pretty much goes through the standard CBS crime procedural motions.

so smart and so stupid

I am not very found of police procedural but the Humour and the fact that there is Science Fiction makes it a good candidate. I do not understand why it was canceled.

For a show with the title Limtiless, the plot thus far has been fairly limited, creating a show about a man who can change the world but he doesn't. He helps the FBI solve cases faster and more efficiently and uses NZT to generically be smarter and more useful in daily endeavours. Less of the procedural drama and more Bradley Cooper would be nice to help progress the show on many levels
