My impression from when this came out was that the editing made the pacing overly-brisk, disrupting the comic timing and sense of controlled chaos which was absolutely meticulous on NML. Worth it for Norm completists tho', of course, and there were still some amazing moments like when he asks Jane Fonda if she believes in the doctrine of the hypostatic union.

norm's sad descent into giving a shit was complete when he sold his soul to netflix and even got reduced to grovelling on THE VIEW, and i just... didn't feel like rating this at the time. it's s3 of norm live but even more sanitised with stunted ep runtimes, but tbf he's a good interviewer and if anyone's earned a respectable gig it's this master of his craft. it's just kind of a bummer given that he's capable of being the best comedian in the universe. (edit: way more understandable now :()

Some of the episodes almost killed me. -- I wonder who's lying in the grave of the guy who invented the old switcheroo.

I love Norm and liked the earlier version of this show (Norm MacDonald Live) but this is just dull

jane fonda episode is pure gold.

It's not bad, but compared to the show it replaced it's not much. Part of his deal with Netflix apparently involved erasing his previous show from existence, for some reason.

It's still good but suffers from the drastically reduced episode length, not allowing Norm to riff that much or get everyone hating Adam. The Albert Fish jokes are sorely missed.

It's a weird selection of guests, but we're here for Norm and he kills it. The season is criminally short and the show is rumored to be canceled which is a damn shame
