The interactions between Sinichi and Migi are brilliant, and there's some great commentary on humanity as we watch Sinichi grow and change. The main villains are a bit of a letdown compared to that, but man watching Migi call Sinichi on his shit is so fun.

I was expecting a much better show. It's not a bad anime, but the overall experience felt quite dry and lackluster. Most characters, bar Migi, were poorly written with little to no development over the course of the 24 (!!) episodes. I didn't think it deserved to be considered a psychological show, nor a horror one either, for that matter.

One of the best anime I have seen. As usual with anime, to start liking it you have to give it a couple of episodes. From the beach one onwards you just want to see the whole series in a row. Besides that, some kind of Horror here and the vision of an eye and a mouth in a hand at the very beginning was kind of gross/horror/fun, then you just get used to it.

Really good classical storytelling with a protagonist that really grows during his hero's journey. He's practically unrecognisable from the first episode by the last. He's supported by a great cast of side-characters who have their own intriguing story arcs. The ending is bittersweet yet really, really satisfactory. As with a lot of Japanese media, the series doesn't shy away from nuanced and morally gray topics. One of anime must watches.

I don't enjoy anime/manga, but I watched this one because of a friend. Taking that into consideration, I didn't hate it and would recommend it to someone with mixed feelings towards the genre.
