One of the best standup sets of all time and I've watched the one where Gallagher jumps on the giant couch

It's hard to review Patrice O'Neal's work in the context of comedy as we know it. The man, and this special in particular, is hilarious, but jokes are not what we're laughing at. Patrice was connected to an undeniable truth that he knew how to package into endlessly appealing and funny thoughts. He vocalized a rawness in our nature that causes a lot of emotional turmoil between couples. Listening to him is complete catharsis.

Being that this is pretty much the last thing he will be remembered by, it is a fitting good-bye because he really did pour his thoughts and feelings into this. I've listened to lots of his stuff and this does epitomize what his comedy was. When I watch stand-up alone (not the best way to do it) it takes something mind numbingly hilarious to get me to actually laugh out loud. He succeeded. Goodnight sweet prince.

One of the best comedy specials of all time. The full DVD version gives an incredible 80 minute performance that shows Patrice at the top of his all-too-short game.

This is a phenomenal stand-up special, of course, but it doesn't even come close to proving how Patrice was arguably the most naturally hilarious human being of all time.

This isn't as good as Patrice on Opie and Anthony or his many guest spots where he refreshingly speaks the truth. In a world filled with nonsense and PC annoying as hell liberals, Patrice is a breath of fresh air. His fat logic was just sad and distracting and you couldn't help but feel uncomfortable for the audience sometimes when he was doing crowd work but this accurately depicts who he is and what he was about. If you love comedy and don't know Patrice do yourself a favor and check him out

Actual raw comedy carried by a charisma very few people actually have. Not the funniest in the world, but it's admirable.

Real funny, yet real confrontational with his point of view, but he is being honest about his wild ideas that he makes sense of in an incredibly humorous and confidently performed comedy show.

It takes a bit for Patrice to warm up. And then he hits some wild, twisted truths about human nature and relationships.
