The premise is good but the script is full of red herrings that lead nowhere.

Sufficiently creepy for diehard genre fans, decent acting and film making, and some real highlights throughout the series. But it is padded with repetitive themes, story-lines, conversations. It seems like this could have been shortened to 6 episodes a season and been fine.

I think the idea is really interesting to watch, and the characters are really well done. There's some good suspense. I don't think everything resolves as well as it could, but ultimately I did enjoy both seasons so far. EDIT: third season was even better, can't wait for the fourth!

I don't really know how the 5 hour run time was justified? This could have easily been condensed into a 1,5-2 hr film without the story or atmosphere suffering. I felt there was lot of thematic repetition and it got very boring halfway into the series. The second to last episode picks up the story somewhat, but by that point I had already gone and spoiled the ending for myself because the story had been progressing nowhere fast. Nell Tiger Free was fantastic though!
