Strong start with a gradual slide into mediocrity over the seasons. Still has its moments.

Wow, after 5 minutes in I was hooked. How has this series been flying under my radar. Incredible entertaining. Must watch.

80 because first three seasons are fucking fantastic. Seasons 4 and 5 are not bad. Season 6 is soap opera garbage though and by season 7 it's obvious they're flogging a dead horse. Still, those first seasons..

Incredible cast and stories. Brilliant way of editing scenes by loading one character after the another.

Just marathoned the first four seasons of this on Netflix and I have to say this is one of my favorite TV/pop culture experiences of the year so far. Reminiscent of another show I loved, Parenthood, but with a grungier street level view of things (and a cavalcade of naked breasts damn near every episode, which I'm not gonna complain about). Frank can be annoying, but all the Gallagher kids are great characters to watch. The show is funny and relatable and moving. Great twisted family show.

Cheap, base humor. It attempts to be shocking for the sake of it, but fails. A very, very bland show.

The early seasons are good (1-4) after that it gets a little mehh

By far my favorite series ever. Incredible acting even from the kids who you watch grow up over 9 seasons. Somehow this show yanks at my heart strings more than any show or movie ever has, even though it's supposed to be a comedy.

I mainly watch for the drama aspect as opposed to the comedy. I didn't laugh too often at first, but the humor has gotten better. The series finale is impressively meh, with hardly any closure. Season rankings: 3>1>4>8>6>7>2>5>11>10>9

Only into the second season, but this an amazingly entertaining ensemble. Christ Macy's annoying Frank, might be the low spot compared to the interesting well acted kids roles. I can see this getting repetitive within a season or two barring some shakeups but for now, its absolutely bingeworthy. UPDATE - now in season 11 its definitely lost its punch for the most part. It isn't bad, but its a ghost of its old self. Further ESIT, the finale is very weak and further hurt its score.

What started as one of my favorite shows of all time has slid into a bit of a tailspin but still entertaining and I look forward to it. I could really do without all of the preaching in the newer seasons, though
