Intentionally terrible films like this are far too pleased with themselves to gain the camp appeal of honest tripe like Birdemic which believes in itself

Sharktopus is a look at ethnic diversity and relations between people. The touching story is dedicated to Santos, Santos is a man who is after revenge. The revenge is against Sharktopus, an ex-Navy, Vigilante who wants to get revenge on those who want to use him. Santos however wants to bring Sharktopus to justice. A must watch for all those who love a good love story, along with sharks.

I had to give myself some time to let this movie sink in. My conclusion is: this movie is absolutely incredible. The makers of this movie are geniuses: come on, they made a fucking Sharktopus! Try to make something better than that, I dare you

I think Sharktopus is just like Lenny from Of Mice and Men. He wants to hug people but only has spiked tentacles for arms. He wants to kiss them but has no lips. Poor Sharktopus.

I can't help but feel that if the SyPhy channel put half as much effort into making their movies good as they do to make them purposely bad, they might actually end up with something that comes closer to that 50s monster movie charm they're going for. I love bad movies, but I love bad movies where you get the feeling that at least someone in the production team wasn't actively trying to make the movie as bad as possible. Please don't mistake deliberate incompetence for humour.

Science chick is the only halfway tolerable thing in this. Eric Roberts should not be in any movie, ever, and neither should the rest of his castmates here. I also didn't buy the Sharktopus being a gene-manipulated creation--it is clearly a prehistoric creature, born in the early PS2 days.

Plenty of laughably bad CG, recycled shots, lame jokes, and terrible acting; numerous unresolved questions, such as: how can it walk on land? how does it growl and roar? how does it know enough about human anatomy to know slitting a throat is effective? why do bullets spark off its' skin? This movie isn't even bad in a good way, it is just bad in a terrible way. I suppose I can toss my screenplay, "Squishark," into the bin, no way that dream is gonna happen now.

Bit sad as I expected this to be bad good, but it was just bad bad. My current rule for Syfy originals still stands. The more main cast actors from Syfy or general sci-fi shows that star in the movie, the better it is. Alas this only had Eric Roberts, so its pish.

Terrible acting, no budget, silly premise which is actually mocked even by a character in the film. There's so many continuity errors I think they must have been doing it on purpose. The scale of the monster changes from scene to scene, sometimes it eats people whole, sometimes it struggles with half a leg. Seems like an attempt to be so bad it's good but it's just bad.

if you don't take it seriously (which you CAN'T anyway, not even with the biggest stick imaginable up your rectum) it's quite enjoyable crap.

Eric Roberts proves he's willing to be in more degrading things for money than a masochistic east-European male prostitute with a gambling problem.

unintentionally funny, terrible CGI, a shark which has tentacles, what there's not to like.. and plus the hero is a Turkish guy (Kerem Bursin).. Its more shocking to see a Turkish guy in a shark movie than seeing the sharktopus itself!!

They could have named this so-called "movie" something like Bad Acting And Girl's Butts.
