BSG is showing it's influence. SGU never managed to escape the shadow of its weaker first season. Unfortunately a stellar second season is left at the universe of all cliffhangers (or should I say galaxy-hangers).

Comfortably the best thing in the Stargate canon. Well acted and solidly written, with a nice atmosphere. The repetitive episodes and going nowhere story quickly ended something which had potential.

Way better than Stargate Atlantis, however the cast and story weren't as interesting as that of Stargate SG-1. It had some potential to be good, but the plot started stalling until they mercy killed the show.

Far better than Stargate Atlantis and certainly better written than Stargate SG-1, but too bad it became quite repetitive and the characters never became as attractive as those of SG-1. Yet, this had something special and the end of season 2 really had me wanting for more.

maybe I didn’t give it enough of a chance, but seriously I couldn’t get through three episodes.

All I could ever think about was how these people were going back to earth, inhabiting other people's bodies, and basically pseudo-raping them. Ended on a pseudo-cliffhanger. I really wanted to find out what happened to fat nerd boy.

Probably the best series in SG franchise. Stories could be better, but it is blessed with excellent actors. This show must go on!

Stargate Universe gains points for trying something different with the franchise. Although it's not unique. In fact it's unpleasantly derivative of other serial dramas of the time. If nothing else, the characters may keep you interested for a little while. If not, it's well worth sticking around for the monumental performing from Robert Carlyle.

Weirdly more engaging and easier to get through than other Stargates. SG-1 has better standalone episodes, but SG-1 was plagued by being 10 seasons.
