Each episode was very predictable (bad person receives ironic comeuppance), but the campy tone and black-as-night humor made it an enjoyable guilty pleasure, especially if you're 13 years old. Awesome intro, too.

I liked this tv show and would love to see it rebooted Plenty of good actors and directors good stories with a fair amount of gore considering it was made for tv .....But let's face it if your anything like me you tuned in for The Crypt Keeper now he was the real star attraction !

Take a macabre tale, fill it with life lessons reminiscent of Aesop's Fables and throw in a twist ending that works! How could I not love this. Not to mention it's hosted by one of the best creature puppets this side of Jim Henson ( The Crypt Keeper) and you get a show that's great on every level. With that said, a lot of the episodes have not dated well and this is a show that could use a remake....BUT, it needs to keep everything that made it great (Crypt Keeper and twist endings!)

The first 4 seasons were pure golden, after that it was pretty hit and miss.

Certainly one of the weaker horror analogy shows, especially when you've got the 90's Outer Limit running at the same time, but even then it's a real treat. Tale quality veered down more than most anthologies, but it's always provided a wonderful arena for skilled actors to just chew down on the scenery in some delightfully absurd tales.

How did they get John Carpenter to host?? Best episode "Death of Some Salesmen" for Tim Curry's performances. Everyone and their grandma is in this series. Complete series.
