I wanna eat that burger.

Once, a giraffe defended a depressed alligator from the harassment of malicious hyenas. The giraffe shot the hyenas and took the alligator on a day-long trip, though they traveled no real distance, across the local area to solve his problems. The journey ended with the alligator reconciling with the cougar he had wronged in the past. Sadly, the giraffe was gunned down by hogs in the end.

Good atmospheric, character focused thriller. Gallner continues to be an underrated gem, and Bertchold shows a lot of potential. Might be a bit too brutal or slow for some, but it’s great all around.

Liked it, decent. Felt like movie served to explore its psychological themes in lieu of strong plot. Well shot, good performances but missing something, a forward drive to lend momentum and stop it meandering after a strong opening. Thought I sensed an Homeric theme with cyclops, Mr Shepherd (the sheep Odysseus' men hide beneath) but couldn't tease it out any further. Overall, I'd give it 6 out of 10.

Gallner makes the whole thing work. And just when you think the movie is gonna reveal something about his past, he waves one of his guns around and tells everyone to shut the f*ck up. He does like giraffes, I know that much.

The white trash life coach no one wanted. I enjoyed the gay subtext tension.

Been enjoying most of Gallner's work lately and on the heels of watching Strange Darling which was great I decided to throw this one on. Good indie vibe in rural nowheresville. Decent acting by the leads. Glacially paced, so be aware if you're expecting a lot of action it's pretty muted for 90%. A decent one time viewing. 6.0

Better than I thought it would be. The two leads make this really quite watchable.

Pretty accurate for the type of rural apathy.

The Passenger is quite the little surprise. There is admittedly little meat-on-the-metaphorical-bone but what is there is tasty enough. The two leads are both pretty great, Gallner especially; his role could easily have tipped into garbage. There is an unease about almost every scene that doesn't tip into being truly atmospheric but is effective enough.

Unique and intense movie experience. Try it out.

Berchtold and Gallner elevate this movie beyond the typical Blumhpuse grindhouse. The conceit is intriguing in its own right, but it's really the acting chops of the two leads that hold the viewer's attention. Because, lets face it, the script has a little too much cheese, a little too much fluff--if it wasn't for two heart-on-their-sleeves performances, this film would have overstayed its welcome at the hour mark.
