Fairly straightforward Christmas classic. Memorable Miser Brothers. Cute and well-done reindeer. Fav scene: dad remembering hearing Santa sing and transitioning into current Santa singing.

Wasn't Mickey Rooney's voice irritating enough in 'Santa Claus is Comin' to Town'? He always sounds joyously constipated.

Tis another Christmas season - apparently now, screw Jesus, without Santa, there's no reason. Great musical numbers excepting, constant poetry had me retching.

Cheesy, awkward, and weird, but very nostalgic for those who grew up with it.

I fell asleep watching this. Of course, I was 22 years old by the time I'd finally seen this Christmas special, so maybe you need to be a kid to enjoy this.

Throughout the 60's & 70's, Arthur Rankin and Jules Bass created some of the best Christmas specials, using stop-motion to bring their tales to life. While others are more traditional, this story of how Santa is too sick to fulfill his duties, leaving a pair of elves to save the day, is by far my favorite. The REAL stars of the show though, are the two brothers Heat Miser & Snow Miser, whose sibling rivalry just won't let it snow for Christmas. The songs will be stuck in your head for days

I think I'll just stick with "Rudolph" and "Hooves of Fire" for my Christmas stop-motion animation viewing.

I can't help but enjoy a movie that painstakingly reminds children that Santa is the reason for the season.
