Only a *little* less campy than the Hercules show that spawned it, this is still best enjoyed when you're in the mood for some completely retarded goofiness with that unique late-'90s charm.

It's not good, but man, did I enjoy it. Conceptually, remarkable. The actors tried to do what they could with the dialogue they were given. Can't help but look at it through the nostalgia lens of childhood; it will always have a place in my heart, if it realistically deserves more like a 35 for everything except the lesbian subtext, Gabrielle's autonomy arc and the epic soundtrack.

There is an endearing aspect to this weird spin-off show. It's campy aspects are sometimes only that way because of the low-budget and d-tier acting and not a deliberate effort.

OMG, what a camp-fest! The first seasons are better than the later ones. Gotta say, though, when you consider the tortured accent with which New Zealanders speak, Lucy Lawless does an amazingly consistent American accent.

I could never call it GOOD... but honestly, there's a certain campy joy to it.

Same problem as the other one: looks all campy fun 'till you try watching it, then it's talky and boring with terrible fight scenes.

It's nice to see Xena follow on from Hercules, and i like the crossovers, but this show is mostly generically decent action-adventure with greek mythology episodes with a few good ones scattered few and far between. You stay longer than you should because of the scantily clad women.

Grew up on this show. Change my life for the better. It is a bit campy and corny, and I wish they would have solidified the relationship.
