There’s a middle aged Italian woman with a thick moustache. “Come give your aunt Bunny a kiss baby. “ Weird gross garbage. They have either Goblin music playing or some nut plinking away at a piano for every scene but for the cutting up a body and melting it in the tub scene I was left with nothing but the sound of me softly eating chips because I’m apparently disgusting and need to snack while watching filth.

Low budget creeper about a weird young taxidermist who digs up and preserves his recently deceased wife, much to the chagrin of his housekeeper/lover. The two of them end up killing a bunch of people to preserve his grisly secret. Some decent gore scenes, a cool Goblin score and a generally pervasive feeling of strangeness overcomes the mostly pedestrian acting and camera work.

come for the gore, stay for the...well, the gore because it's otherwise a bit boring.

Disgusting and deeply flawed, but a minor classic is buried underneath all the bad dubbing and blood.

A couple of quite grisly, stylish gore scenes, a suitably bizarre Goblin soundtrack and an overarching air of general weirdness can't really elevate what is a slightly dull film. There seemed to be loads of time devoted to moving corpses from location to location, which is perhaps fun if you like those little vans so beloved of rural Europeans. I'd like to see "The Third Eye" upon which this was based, just to get an idea of what the hell was going on. Probably one for genre fans only...

Really bad acting and some of the worst camerawork and directing I've ever seen. The film meanders along at what seems like a snails pace even though the film is not that long. Decent gore, some depravity, and plenty of sleaze. Entertaining but not great or even that good.

Weird, seedy-ass movie that only half works. It seems that this is considered among D'Amato's best films, but I neither agree nor do I 'get' it. Maybe D'Amato just ain't for me. I waited a while for the release with an Italian audio track, and had a good feeling about this too. Disappointing.

This movie is one of those campy so bad it's oddly watchable flicks that is a staple of old school low budget trash cinema. The ending isn't really an ending ha ha.

One of the sickest Italian gore movies ever. This features infamous evisceration, heart munching, and cremation sequences and is recommended for only the strongest of stomachs.

Surprisingly coherent and engaging film from D'Amato. It has some pacing issues (especially in the opening sections) and gets a little repetitive, but overall its an effectively sick and shocking tale with an interesting, clinical style that makes the violence all the more unsettling.
