Despite the clear exaggeration of some elements and a rush in the time frame it depicts, the overall feel it created was engaging and largely believable.

Well done and entertaining movie that tells a great story I was not previously familiar with. It seems like this got sort of delayed/shelved in its release due to controversy and fighting among Bernard Garrett's children, which is a shame because people should see it. It was a bit rushed towards the end.

This is an interesting story. It was frustrating to see the racist attitudes of locals in the area. I liked Nicholas Hoult in his role - he's a good choice to play the white man representing the bank. I can imagine how frustrating it must have been for the people unable to be taken seriously and given real opportunities due to their ethnicity. I felt this was quite a well told story, quite an engrossing and sometimes relatively tense watch, even if it seems a bit dull. Its worth sticking with.

Great film, and some of Anthony Mackie's best work. The casting is excellent in this one, as is the writing. Beautiful production design, nice wide shots, and a remarkable story that I had not heard of before. Worth watching.

Predictable, exaggerated and a bit Disney but still quite fun

It leaves you with the feeling that a lot of what really happened was glossed over.

A film that turns out to be even more topical because of the situation in the US.
