Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) - Rated 09 May 2013
The only POTC movie that holds up on repeated viewings. Expertly blends horror, action, and comedy.

Moon (2009) - Rated 09 May 2013
A small, but taut, thriller that knows what it's doing. A great Clint Mansell score!

The Butterfly Effect (2004) - Rated 09 May 2013
Confusing and muddled sci-fi that wishes it wasn't.

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) - Rated 09 May 2013
Fun, but not as memorable as other comedies of the early 2000s.

Inception (2010) - Rated 09 May 2013
Brilliant effects and an intricate script are only let down by forgettable performances.

Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995) - Rated 09 May 2013
My second-favorite of the Die Hards, probably because I have a weakness for trivia-based plots. Watching Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson bounce off of each other is exactly as fun as you'd imagine.

Remember the Titans (2000) - Rated 09 May 2013
One of the few sports movies I actually enjoy. It feels like a period piece, and not just like a modern sports movie dressed up in old clothes. Good performances, and a great soundtrack.

Jurassic Park (1993) - Rated 09 May 2013
Still-astonishing effects, a great sense of adventure, and plenty of memorable scenes keep this movie evergreen.

The White Ribbon (2009) - Rated 09 May 2013
A brilliant, moody story with unforgettable imagery is only let down by an ending that's a little too mysterious to give closure.

Holes (2003) - Rated 09 May 2013
A great family picture with plenty of heart and laughs.
