"A pleasant surprise. The movie felt more of a comedy with cool special effects than a fantasy/adventure movie. Hit the play button thinking it would be an average flick, however found myself laughing through the film. Can't give it an amazing rating, only because it lacked the emotion you could tell the writers were trying to bring to the table at certain times."

"A tough movie to watch. I'm not saying it because of the message or attempt of emotion, but the cringey attempts to make the audience feel empathy for it's characters. There are many teachable messages the film tries to inject, however it lacked the punch it needed and came across preachy and unrealistic. The climax was supposed to be a giant slap in the face moment, however it lacked a certain punch to drive the message home."

"Good Hollywood power in this film, however the lack of character development left little emotion for the climax at the end. Same old Western story that’s been told a bizillion times which makes sense for a remake. Not a waste of time to watch, however not recommended if there are other options to pass some time."

"You can tell this was done by a different writer. - The dry Paul Rudd humor is gone and is replaced by corny, pg, politically correct, safe comedy. You can tell it's a Disney movie. - All of their movies of late seem to stick in your face messages of "making the world a better place" instead of just making a good movie. I watch movies to get away from that stuff. - The overall story is great. - Acting is great."
