If horrible decision making makes you cringe, you might want to skip this one. If you appreciate horror for unrealistic villains and poor decision making, this is your flick.

Ted (2012) - Rated 28 May 2023

As Family Guy fan, the humor doesn’t translate to film. Situations were orchestrated together to create the perfect punchline however they fell flat. Mark Wahlburg is much better in drama roles than comedic.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) - Rated 24 May 2023

A pleasant surprise. The movie felt more of a comedy with cool special effects than a fantasy/adventure movie. Hit the play button thinking it would be an average flick, however found myself laughing through the film. Can't give it an amazing rating, only because it lacked the emotion you could tell the writers were trying to bring to the table at certain times.

The Son (2022) - Rated 24 May 2023

A tough movie to watch. I'm not saying it because of the message or attempt of emotion, but the cringey attempts to make the audience feel empathy for it's characters. There are many teachable messages the film tries to inject, however it lacked the punch it needed and came across preachy and unrealistic. The climax was supposed to be a giant slap in the face moment, however it lacked a certain punch to drive the message home.

The Great Gatsby (2013) - Rated 26 Apr 2023

Great acting. Like the story. I found the modernization of the effects and music a distraction instead of an enhancement to the film. Would have been cool to have less effects in my opinion.

The Magnificent Seven (2016) - Rated 06 Apr 2023

Good Hollywood power in this film, however the lack of character development left little emotion for the climax at the end. Same old Western story that’s been told a bizillion times which makes sense for a remake. Not a waste of time to watch, however not recommended if there are other options to pass some time.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) - Rated 31 Mar 2023

You can tell this was done by a different writer. - The dry Paul Rudd humor is gone and is replaced by corny, pg, politically correct, safe comedy. You can tell it's a Disney movie. - All of their movies of late seem to stick in your face messages of "making the world a better place" instead of just making a good movie. I watch movies to get away from that stuff. - The overall story is great. - Acting is great.
