My grandparents had a VHS copy of this and a couple Disney movies laying around their house for when me and my cousin came over when I was a kid--and we were there A LOT. We watched the crap out of every movie they had, to the point of making them unplayable. I remember loving this movie, so I threw it on for my kids and HOLY HELL, time has not been kind to it. It's so ungodly dated and tawdry that I wonder if my kids will ever let me make them watch an 80's movie again.

Not a good movie by any stretch, but its low-budget oddness and eclectic '80s cast provide some interest. A kitschy curio, nothing more.

Drew and Keanu may be babes, all right (depending on your preference, of course), but this overlong TV-version remake of the Victor Herbert musical fantasy cuts out most of the original songs and drags badly. Mulligan's enjoyable mugging as Barnaby is about the only thing that kept me watching.

That monster that lived in the bowling ball or whatever was fucking creepy.

This was pretty cheesy to me even as a child. But that dude from "Empty Nest" was pretty neat.

This godawful remake made me hate Drew Barrymore.
