Call it campy. Call it dated. Call it goofy. Call it cheesy. It's all of those things and more. But it's also the most awesome thing my 10-year-old self ever saw on TV.

This show contains my favorite iteration of Batman and pretty much my favorite approach to superheroes ever. The distinctively campy, self-aware writing style makes this something special, and every episode (even some of the total stinkers from Season 3) has something to make it incredibly fun. Seeing it in HD, with the low budget and cheap props and breakneck schedule thrown into stark relief, only increases my admiration for the ability of the crew to do a lot with a little.

It's pretty hilarious to think that this is what Adam West is best known for doing. That must have given him problems at some point in his career. That said though, this show was pretty much comedy gold and one of the hammiest things I've ever seen... which makes it amazing! Loved the goofy ass dialog Robin has{HOLY RAVIOLI} and the villains were top notch. Humorously enough, this show was actually a good representation of the comic at the time which were equally as goofy.

It's pretty shocking to see Batman in the 60's compared to the Batman of today (Nolan, Snyder, Arkham games). That's not necessarily a bad thing, this series is pretty darn good because it plays it's camp and ham-like quality to the n-th degree and is one of the funnier series I have ever seen.

Like alot of shows, the quality varies between seasons and episodes, but overall this is as solid as fans who loved it as children remember it. It works on two levels: children who grew up without all the modern CGI superhero shows took the show at face value & noticed no absurdities, but adults will find lots here to laugh at. It's rare that deliberate camp works so well, but it's perfect here. All the guest stars are fun, but this show's Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin & Joker are iconic.

Incredibly dated. Perhaps the most dated thing ever. But its cheesy crappy production is the charm now.

This is literally the most square show I've ever watched, but I still love it mostly because of the villians. Pretty sure there was an episode where Batman was mad because the Joker was giving out free cash to teenagers so he had to go beat him up so he wouldn't ruin their work ethic.

Silly (obviously) but kind of entertaining, with some good character actors hamming up their roles as villains and the program in general showing a determination not to take itself with any degree of seriousness whatsoever. One imagines it was enjoyable to make.

There's a peculiar, affectionate kind of groan people do when this is mentioned or they find it while flicking through, I do it to.

Bam. Wham. Kablamo. Screech....halt. Yeah what ever words were seen after they were punching. This show left you with cliff hangers at the end to watch for the next week. Next episode he gets out no problem. Guy is tied to a chair with a bomb around him. ok show.
