Another ham-fisted and histrionic Message Movie from ABC Family. Slightly better than Cyber Seduction (its obvious companion piece), but not by much. Has the look and tone of a '90s movie despite coming out in 2011. The issue of cyberbullying deserves a more nuanced treatment than this. i CaN't GeT tHe CaP oFf!

One of THE most idiotically written movies I've ever seen. This is a movie that assumes that not only are high school kids remorseless assholes and morons who will believe anything they see on the internet and go to ridiculous lengths just to bully, but they also assume that Law Enforcement are a bunch of incompetent morons who can't even do simple investigation when there's clear evidence of who the culprit is. Not to mention the anti-social networking message is insanely idiotic to begin with.

Hilarious, and completely lacking any semblance of reality, which makes whatever positive message it may have had absolutely useless. Cyberbullying happens, but it does not happen like this. Nobody even types like that anymore. "I CAN'T GET THE CAP OFF!!" is the acting moment of the century.

SO FRIGGIN' FUNNY. This movie, while it has the right idea with trying to get the message out, manages to be more offensive to bully victims than anything else. Emily Osment and the mum from The OC make a go of it but nothing they do can stop this from being absolutely hilarious, with too many amazing things to mention here. It's not QUITE up there with Bratz and The Room due to peaking too early and getting dull towards the end, but it's very close.

A 62-year-old director attempts to appropriate the technology and culture of teenagers for the purposes of histrionic panic-fiction, and winds up with what is at best an uncanny valley facsimile of actual youth culture. None of the central clique of "outcast" girls look even vaguely like a girl who would actually be an outcast in high school.

It's heart is in the right place and I have a modicum of respect for the filmmakers for that but whatever message they were trying to convey is completely lost by just how hilarious it is. So many quotes and hilarious moments. One of my favourites was the flipped shot in the hallway, clearly Biname was channeling Noe, right? I was hoping Osment was going to go to a gay club and smash a guys face with a fire extinguisher. Probably wouldn't be able to get the cap off though.

Gets a 10 for being a funny film. Overall, incredibly irresponsible film made by people who don't understand the internet.

Actually not that bad, I thought the acting overall was fairly good, the characters realistic, the story fairly interesting and the film features an important message, without being too preachy. Unfortunately a lot of the film feels artificial or forced, which lessened the impact it had on me by quite a bit.

The only thing this has going for it is that it has unintentional laughs. It does not show both sides of the story with Emily Osment and the "bullies", and the ridiculous lengths they go to "raise awareness" is laughable. This is not how real people respond. Horrible even for TV.

I watched this movie yesterday. I wasn't disappointed. The message is clear and the acting was decent(if you like ABCFamily stuff, which I do).

"I can't get the cap off!" **facepalm** I think the message about bullying needed a better movie.

getting I CAN'T GET THE CAP OFF out of the way, at least Emily Osment has gone on to do better things after this nonsense. She listens to Death Grips now!

It's not a movie, it's the anti-bullying marketing campaign. Very forced one.

The movie has a very strong message, which ends up being a little in your face, but the message is an important one. Despite the movie obviously wanting to teach about cyberbullying, it ended up being a very enjoyable watch. It was also nice to see Emily Osment and Kay Panabaker shedding their Disney skin. Emily was phenomenal. If your going to watch this movie, be prepared to cry, I know I did.

I'm not going to pretend cyberbullying isn't an issue (obviously it is, considering the several real-life suicides), but Cyberbully dilutes the strength of its message by being unintentionally hilarious and lacking realism to relate to. The websites characters browse on that were made for the movie look like they're from the 90s.
