nostalgia started it at 90. then was 80-88. ep 14 down to 60. 16 to 79 but momentum had been killed too much. didnt watch for a while then binged so i could watch the movie lmao. rest were 60-70. that 3rd arc had the shittiest cheesy humor. ruined so much, even apoc. but warp digivolving made me cum for the first time again. love kari and tk. skullgreymon bruh. meramon, andromon, devimon, sabre leomon, metal etemon, ruining the seadramons. gato was rushed+lil cheesy with kari. wizpiccolo

Assuming this is the first season, it's not as bad as far as kids' shows go. But get Tamers on here so I can give it an 80.

The main cast was by far the show's biggest strength. Each kid and their digimon had fleshed out, well-developed personalities with interesting backstories. The team dynamic and chemistry was done exceptionally well, filled with struggles and conflicts but never feeling tacky or artificial. I also liked that their parents were actual characters and just as important in saving the world. Sadly the rest of the show wasn't so great, particularly the repetitive plots and lame, uninteresting villains

It says a lot that I watched Pokemon before Digimon yet still remember a lot of scenes of Pokemon and pretty much nothing from Digimon.

Pretty lame pokemon ripoff as I recall but the legendarily awkward Finnish dub by collectively shit-faced Agapio Racing Team is at times comedy gold. Includes absurd slips like "Oh fuck, doesn't Andromon have a weak spot?!" I'm a terrible person but I do miss the days when our censors for this stuff were just hopelessly underpaid and/or undersupervised.

(I guess this is just supposed to be the page for the first Digimon Adventure, so I'll rate it as such.) This show is really surprisingly good after a formulaic and sluggish start. Clear and strong character arcs for almost the whole cast, nice twists and turns, cool fights, gradually building apocalyptic stakes, and swiftly-paced arcs that don't outstay their welcome all packed into just 54 episodes instead of the hundreds these action-adventure animes usually run for. Recommended.

I caught a marathon of the first season of this show about 20 years ago when it first came out, and I have to say that it wasn't terrible. This was around the time Pokemon was kicking off, and this is similar enough, but had a much better cast of characters and better character development. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch this today, but now that I've got a kid that likes Pokemon, I have to say that I'd prefer for him to watch Digimon, and wouldn't mind having this on in the living room.
